Big Money vault

Big Money at /member/big-money is a personal ledger that turns everyday saves into investable capital, with optional stock tracking tied to holdings lots. Sign in to use it. JustHold is free to use for now.

What’s on the vault

AreaPathPurpose
Record/member/big-moneyLog entries, investable balance, recent activity
Invested/member/big-money/investedOpen stock positions funded by Big Money, P&L, sell
History/member/big-money/historyCalendar and searchable entry feed
Categories/member/big-money/categoriesTotals by entry category

Entry types

TypeMeaning
SavedMoney you didn’t spend (coupon, discount, intentional save)
OverspentUnplanned spend that reduces investable capital
InvestedCapital deployed—optionally with symbol and shares (creates a holdings lot marked Count toward Big Money)
SoldSale; proceeds return to the investable balance

Investable balance

Roughly:

Saved − overspent − buys + sells

The Record tab shows the balance, a trend, and recent entries. Realized P&L from share lots (FIFO) also shows when you have stock activity.

You don’t need to double-log. Buys and sells flagged Count toward Big Money in the Holdings vault merge into this ledger with your cash saves and overspends. On Holdings allocation, those lots show under Big Money funding; everything else is Our Money.

Common workflow

  1. Log small Saved (and honest Overspent) entries on Record
  2. When you deploy capital, log Invested—add a symbol if you bought shares
  3. Review open Big Money stock on Invested; use History / Categories to see patterns
  4. When you sell, record Sold (or sell from Invested / Holdings) so proceeds return to the balance
